Console compatibility

• Nintendo Wii — Full compatibility. MotionPlus is built in, so enhanced motion accuracy is active by default with no separate MotionPlus adapter required for supported titles.
• Nintendo Wii U — Works in Wii Mode for Wii titles, and with Wii U games that support Wiimote input. Built-in MotionPlus applies to those same titles. This set is not a replacement for the Wii U GamePad.

Not compatible with Nintendo Switch, GameCube, or any other system.

How the set pairs

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the Wiimote and press the red SYNC button.
2. On the console, open the front SD card door and press the SYNC button within a few seconds.
3. The player LEDs blink, then settle on your player number. The controller is paired.
4. Plug the Nunchuk into the Wiimote's expansion port before starting play. It needs no separate pairing.

Batteries

The Wiimote takes 2 AA batteries, not included. The Nunchuk draws power from the Wiimote and needs no batteries of its own.

Troubleshooting

If the controller will not sync or drops out mid-session, install fresh AA batteries and repeat the SYNC steps above. Low batteries are the most common cause of failed pairing and motion drift. If the Nunchuk stops responding, reseat its connector fully in the expansion port.
