A long-lived peace is at an end. The Emperor of Palamecia has called forth monsters from the Underworld and begun his campaign for world conquest. A rebel army arose in the kingdom of Fynn to thwart his plans — but their castle fell to an all-out Imperial assault, forcing the rebels to withdraw to the remote town of Altair.

Four youths from Fynn, having lost their parents at the hands of the Empire, find themselves fleeing the Imperial forces. Their escape is far from over — and their journey is only beginning.

Final Fantasy II is the classic JRPG sequel that introduced the beloved series' hallmark of deep storytelling and character-driven adventure, now playable on original NES hardware in English.
